After being hinted at her arrival at the end of Infinity War this past April, the highly anticipated trailer for Captain Marvel finally dropped on September 18th. The film stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, aka Brie Danvers, and Samuel L. Jackson as the famous Marvel character Nick Fury. Captain Marvel will be a landmark film for Marvel. since it is the first solo female-led movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie takes place in the 1990’s, focusing on  Captain Marvel’s journey on Earth. The first shot in the trailer reveals Brie Danvers falling from the sky into a Blockbuster Video. The narrator, Samuel L. Jackson, explains that he was ready to give up until he met our lead, due to an invasion of earth. Flashes of her life on Earth as a child and an Air Force fighter pilot are shown, and Danvers reveals she isn’t sure if any of her memories are real. She must transform into Captain Marvel, one of the strongest superheroes in the MCU, to fight against the Skrull army. In the last shot we see her in the iconic red and blue Captain Marvel suit as her eyes glow and her body is surrounded by light. Captain Marvel is also expected to have a part in the untitled fourth Avengers film, which will be released in May next year.
